TEXAS “TOASTS” TWO NATIONAL MARCH OF DIMES TEAM AWARDS!
14-Aug-09
The Texas Chapter has received the National March of Dimes 2008 Chapter of the Year Award for Program Services, for a large chapter.  In Texas, with the outstanding help of our programs volunteers and the countless hours our program volunteer leadership lends, as they work side by side with our programs staff - we are delivering exceptional mission results to ensure all Texas’ babies have a healthy start in life.  Special thanks is extended to the entire programs team, both volunteers and staff as we continue to receive ample success through footprint funding and through direct  mission investments.   We have an expert program services team, under the leadership of Karen Littlejohn and Texas Programs Board Chairman – Dr. Carol Arnold.  Sincere thanks to you all for making our Texas efforts shine and ensuring all babies reap the reward of your dedication and hard work.

The Texas Chapter is also proud to recognize an additional National March of Dimes Award in the area of Diversity.   We have received the Diversity Award in the Large Chapter category for the year 2008.  We are extremely pleased to have been recognized for our efforts in the areas of volunteer and staff diversity.    As a volunteer and staff team, each area of the mission triangle – Development, Programs and Communication, supported by fundraising, has played a role in our success.  These awards represent a team effort and team award.  Thank you all for working everyday to make a difference to help advance our mission.
