The March of Dimes Mission
To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives.


2008 Prematurity Conference
Last Fall, the March of Dimes partnered with the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses and the Northeastern Vermont Area Health Education Center to present an all day conference on Prematurity Prevention and Management.





Improving Prenatal Care in Vermont (IPCV)
The state-wide initiative was designed to help improve pregnancy outcomes of low weight and preterm birthrates by implementing updated, evidence-based prenatal care, and developing improved office systems.





Vermont's 2009 Checklist for Success!
The March of Dimes Vermont Chapter is committed to improving the health of babies. This year, we have nearly $1 million dollars invested in programs that directly benefit our neighbors across the State of Vermont.





Knit, Sew, or Crochet for Preemies
Prematuriy Awareness 2009! Calling all Families to Support the Tiniest Babies in Vermont! Please help us collect 600 items of handmade and purchased preemie clothes to send home with families with a critically ill baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.





UVM College of Medicine Receives nearly $800,000 to Study Ways to Prevent Premature Birth
March of Dimes invests research dollars to advance pioneering research into the cause of premature labor.





Vermont Community Grants
The Vermont Chapter awards over $25,000 annually to community projects to improve the health of babies.





March of Dimes NICU Family Support
NICU Famly Support responds to the emotional and informational needs of families during the NICU hospitalization, during the transition home, and in the event of a newborn’s death.
