Burlington Walked!

With Governor Jim Douglas and First Lady Dorothy Douglas leading WalkAmerica in Burlington, we were off to good start. Nearly 200 walkers helped the Vermont Chapter of the March of Dime to kick off the official WalkAmerica season in the Green Mountain State.

Walkers decided between three routes, the longest being over 5 miles. The event began and ended at the beautiful Burlington Waterfront Park where we were entertained by music, the Vermont Frost Heaves, and fed coffee and donuts in the morning and hotdogs and hamburgers in the afternoon.

Thank you to all the volunteers that made it a perfect day!
