WHAT IS CENTERINGPREGNANCY®?
This model provides prenatal care for women in a group setting, incorporating the three elements of prenatal care: assessment, education, and support into an integrated format that takes place within the group.

The program has a structured component for providing individual attention within the group setting, thus eliminating the need for traditional exam room visits. There is a systematic educational program that facilitates learning through interaction and sharing among members. A strong aspect of the model is the involvement of women in self-care activities and the availability of a variety of self-assessment tools.
