Every March for Babies walk site has an Ambassador family who shares their story with the community, at the March for Babies event and at various other March of Dimes functions throughout the year.

In addition, our state chapter has its own Ambassador Family. The 2009 Virginia Chapter Ambassador Family is the Patrick family of Virginia Beach: parents Sharon and Jackie and their twins Jalen and Kaylen. Click the READ MORE button below for their photo and story!

     Since its beginning, the March of Dimes has depended on the generosity of people like you to carry out its mission of saving babies.

     Volunteers are the driving force behind the foundation, giving generously of their time and talent to serve in a variety of ways.

     Many others help by participating in our fundraising events, which in turn means dollars for our research, education, advocacy and community programs. Participants purchase tickets to dinners, awards programs or solicit donations from friends and associates for events like March for Babies, Bikers for Babies, and the Signature Chef Auction.

Several clubs and organizations partner with the March of Dimes to help further our mission. These groups participate in fundraising events and program activities that reach out to the community.
