Hometown Realty and the March of Dimes Team Up
16-May-07
RICHMOND, VA (May 16, 2007) – Hometown Realty Services, Inc., a leading provider of residential and commercial real estate services, teamed up with the March of Dimes to raise money in the fight against premature birth. Hometown’s “List Strong” campaign raised $9,200 for the March of Dimes.

“It is a pleasure being a business partner with the March of Dimes,” said Todd Rogers, Chief Operating Officer of Hometown Realty, headquartered in Glen Allen, VA. “Through the March of Dimes’ efforts, the lives of young babies are saved every day, which helps build a greater community for the future. Our relationship with the March of Dimes has been a great experience for Hometown Realty, our agents, and staff.”

Through the ”List Strong” campaign, Hometown Realty agreed to donate $25 for every listing taken in the month of March to the March of Dimes. Hometown Realty listed a record 368 homes for sale in March.

“I am proud of our Hometown Team,” said Mike Chenault, President and Principle Broker of Hometown Realty. “All of our agents and staff really took to this campaign in supporting the March of Dimes. I want to personally thank them for working hard in support of this campaign. I also want to thank all of our clients who put their trust in us for all of their real estate needs.”

The Central Virginia Board of Directors of the March of Dimes is very grateful to Todd Rogers and Mike Chenault and all of Hometown Realty for their innovative campaign to support our mission to save babies!  The List Strong awareness bracelets helped spread our message that premature birth is the number one cause of infant mortality in the first year of life for the babies of Virginia, and the $9,200 will help us change this startling fact!

About March of Dimes
March of Dimes, saving babies together. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Preterm and low birthweight births are on the rise.  Babies born too soon and too small struggle to survive those first few weeks and sometimes months of life. They are more likely to have developmental delays, chronic respiratory problems and vision or hearing impairment. The March of Dimes is dedicated to reducing the number of babies born early and/or too small; programs focus on education about the signs of preterm labor and research into the causes.
