Making local events into special events
The March of Dimes has been conducting special events for more than 60 years. These activities--formal balls, signature chef auctions and dinners, motorcycle rides, golf tournaments and March for Babies--help the March of Dimes fund cutting-edge research and innovative programs to save babies.
Like golf? Each year, the March of Dimes holds a variety of golf tournaments--ranging from celebrity to vendor to the typical foursome--to benefit the mission of helping moms and babies. Many of these events are considered the premier charity tournaments in their communities and get local media coverage.
Or, come out for a gala night at one of our Signature Chef's Auctions. It's a chance to sample the signature dishes of a dozen or more of the top-rated chefs and caterers in your area--and includes a live auction of exciting food and travel packages for the lucky (and, of course, highest) bidder.
March of Dimes Bikers for Babies, one of the largest AMA-sanctioned motorcycle events in the U.S., gives motorcycle enthusiasts the opportunity to rev up those engines for a great cause.
Jail & Bail is a fun and easy way to raise money. Volunteer “prisoners” are arraigned before a volunteer judge on trumped-up, outlandish charges. They are then sentenced to spend an hour in “the slammer” to raise bail. Nearly 500 events are held annually across the country.
