What: Kickoff for WalkAmerica 2004 at Seahawks Stadium

The luncheon program will address corporate teams, sponsors, and other supporters of March of Dimes WalkAmerica, the Walk that saves babies’ lives.

The program features Kristy Lee, anchor for KIRO 7 Eyewitness News, and inspiring stories from families whose children have benefited from March of Dimes research and programs.

When: Thursday, February 12, 2004

11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

Where: Seahawks Stadium

Why:  To kick off this year’s fundraising campaign for March of Dimes WalkAmerica. The theme for this year’s walk is “Use your feet to give premature babies a hand,” a reference to the March of Dimes multi-million dollar education and research initiative to find risk factors and preventions for premature labor and birth.

WalkAmerica is set for April 24, 2004, at Seahawks Stadium and three other locations (Pierce, Thurston, and Kitsap Counties) in Western Washington. All proceeds benefit March of Dimes programs that promote healthy pregnancy and save babies’ lives.
