March of Dimes Jail & Bail brings together the community’s most wanted leaders and volunteers for a common cause – to help give every baby a healthy start in life. Charged with excessive memo writing, reckless golf cart driving, and other fun charges, they are guilty of aiding and abetting the March of Dimes in the fight against premature birth and other serious newborn health risks. Their “sentence?” To serve time raising “bail” in the form of donations. Funds raised by the event will support the March of Dimes mission; carried out in the form of community services and programs, public and professional education and lifesaving research.

| Schedule: |
Our “mock” Jail will be booking prisoners from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Jailbirds turn themselves in and appear before the “Judge” throughout the day. Participants will have their mug-shot taken, enjoy hearty snacks and beverages, and join other community leaders who are calling upon their network of supporters to help them raise bail before being released an hour later. |
