Mike Wilson, President and COO, Sacred Heart Medical Center, will chair this year’s WalkAmerica for the March of Dimes, to be held Saturday, April 23rd at the Gonzaga University Soccer Field. The theme of this year’s event is "walk for someone you love."
"We believe our commitment and participation in the March of Dimes WalkAmerica means a better future for all of us. Our collective efforts in funding education and research will help prevent babies from premature birth and birth defects," noted Wilson. "And with the opening of Sacred Heart’s new Women’s Health Center last fall, we are better able to serve mothers and their babies in every respect."
The event, which draws hundreds of walkers each year, raises funds to fight premature birth through education, community services and research.
