March of Dimes is proud to present the 2005 Western Washington Nurse of the Year Awards—now in its third year.

This is a fabulous event that is not only fun but thrilling, because we are honoring some very special people: the nurses who every day do so much to make our lives better. Who can be nominated for Nurse of the Year?
This is the great news. ANY RN in Western Washington, in any field of nursing and at any staff level is eligible. Honorees will be selected from 11 categories.

Who can nominate a nurse?
YOU can! The general public, patients, family, friends, healthcare co-workers, supervisors, businesses, and organizations can all nominate a nurse.

Who chooses the honorees?
A committee of nurse professionals make the selections. They are “blinded” to the nominations during evaluation and find out who they’ve chosen only when the honorees’ names are announced at the awards breakfast.
