Community Programs

2009 Community Grants Request for Proposals
Do you have a project that will improve the health of moms and babies in Washington? We are now accepting letters of intent for our 2009 community grants program. Letters are due on August 29th.





Washington Community Grant Awards and Outcomes
March of Dimes community grants are awarded annually in an effort to stimulate the institutionalization of a prevention activity that benefits mothers and babies.





NICU Family Support
Through the NICU Family Support Project, the March of Dimes offers education and support to families with babies in Intensive Care at Swedish Medical Center.  Information is also available for families with a baby in other Washington NICUs.





The Pregnancy Workshop
The Pregnancy Workshop is a step-by-step prenatal curriculum that informs women how to care for themselves and their babies during pregnancy.





Birth Defects Prevention Education
Understanding how birth defects are caused is the first step toward prevention.  This program aims to educate young people long before they contemplate pregnancy.





Comenzando bien
Developed in partnership with National Alliance for Hispanic Health, Comenzando bien is the March of Dimes prenatal education program for Spanish-speaking women. To preview materials or for help using the program, contact March of Dimes at (206) 624-1373.
