All Star Ford Donates New 2013 Ford Fiesta to Raise Funds for Washington’s Babies
Seattle, WA, March 12, 2013 All Star Ford has donated an all-new, 2013 Ford Fiesta to the March of Dimes Washington Chapter in support of the March for Babies campaign, which is their signature fundraising event. The March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Raffle tickets to win the new vehicle are available for $10 each at any local KeyBank branch, or at the local March of Dimes office. Additionally, tickets are available at both All Star Ford locations, 3121 Pacific Ave., Olympia, WA 98501 (Exit 107 off I-5) and 1925 Cooper Point Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98502 (Olympia’s Auto Mall). The 2013 Ford Fiesta can get up to 39 mpg on the highway and is part of Ford’s fuel-efficient lineup.
Tickets will also be available for sale during the following March for Babies events this year:
Tri-Cities – April 20, 2013
Snohomish County – April 27, 2013
Spokane – April 27, 2013
Thurston County – April 27, 2013
Kitsap County – May 4, 2013
Greater Puget Sound – May 4, 2013
Yakima – May 4, 2013
Pierce County – May 18, 2013
The drawing for the Ford Fiesta will be held on June 8, 2013. In honor of the March of Dimes 75th anniversary this year, All Star Ford hopes to raise $75,000 from raffle ticket sales.
Joel Olsen, Chief Financial Officer at All Star Ford, knows first-hand about the March of Dimes’ efforts: Olsen’s son was born eight weeks premature.
“It was a very anxious time for our family – We had so many questions, and the March of Dimes support we received made a huge difference,” Olsen said. “My son is now a healthy 4-year-old, and the experience motivated me to help others in similar situations.”
March of Dimes is the champion for all babies, those born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. Moms can rely on March of Dimes for everything they need to know about having a healthy baby before, during and after pregnancy.
This year, the March of Dimes celebrates its 75th anniversary and its ongoing work to help all babies get a healthy start in life. More than 4 million babies were born in the United States last year, and the March of Dimes has helped each and every one through research, education, vaccines and breakthroughs.
