Motorcycle enthusiasts will convene in Flatwoods, WV the weekend of August 21-23 for the 1st Annual West Virginia Bikers for Babies ride presented by Farmers Insurance.

Participants will enjoy a scenic West Virginia mountain ride, receive a commemorative pin and best of all… aid in the March of
Dimes mission to improve the health of babies. Riders will enjoy a post ride party hosted by the Microtel Inn & Suites located just off the Gassaway/Sutton exit of I-79.

The event will feature the famous Road Hazards Stunt Team, performing two shows, as well as live music by Exposure, South of the River & Sean Patrick McGraw and lots more. Saturday’s Road Hazard Stunt Show is open to the public as well as event participants. The amazing display of riding expertise will start at 7:00 p.m. in The Factory Outlet parking lot. Donations for the March of Dimes will be accepted.

Randy Workman, Event Chair, is thankful to the March of Dimes for funding research that helped save their daughter’s life. Miranda Grace Workman was born on December 5, 2001 at 25 weeks gestation. She weighed only 1 lb. and 7 oz. and was only 13 inches long! She spent her first Christmas and the beginning of 2002, fighting infection and recovery from bowel surgery. Miranda now attends Sacred Heart private school where she is a good student and plays on the basketball team. Thankfully, Miranda has not suffered developmental delays, However, Miranda, like many other babies born premature, continued to cope with health issues. She has endured surgeries and other health concerns, yet leads the normal life of a seven year old. “We are proud to be part of the March of Dimes, you helped save our Miranda Grace!” say her parents.
