Returning for its' 8th year, the Sports Car Club of America - Milwaukee Region sponsored event, Drive for Babies is on Friday, October 18th, 2013. It is a driving experience in which participants are able to take their own vehicle out on the world famous Road America track to help support the March of Dimes mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
It is a full fledged PDX event with SCCA instructors accompanying participants who receive a solid blend of driving instruction, ranging from classroom to in-car training to ‘follow me’ drills. This full day event includes plenty of track time with professional instructors, an autocross course, a chance to mingle with professional race car drivers, lunch, an auction and dinner.
Drive for Babies is open to all performance driving enthusiasts however, sign up early, space is limited. Paid guests are welcome to cheer on their driver and enjoy the beautiful Road America scenery as well as the lunch and dinner. The entry fee for this event is $275 per driver until 8/31, $300 per driver from 9/1 through 10/1, and $400 per driver from 10/2 until the event date. The registration deadline for this event is Friday, October 11 if not sold out prior to this date.
The Appreciation Dinner is not limited to Drive for Babies Event participants and is open to the public. For anyone wishing to attend the Appreciation Dinner ONLY, the price is $50 per person. Can’t spend the whole day but still want some time on the track? Well, for $100 you can join us at 4pm and take your vehicle on the Road America track during our touring session, followed by the Appreciation Dinner. The touring session is a pace car controlled, no helmet required chance for you to experience this historic track. *Advanced registration is required for all ticket sales.
*For anyone considering participation with a CONVERTIBLE VEHICLE, please review Paragraph 4.B.7 in the rules to make sure your vehicle is eligible for use at the event.
*All entrants must furnish their own eligible safety helmet
