It's America's favorite walking event, and it's the 75th Anniversary of the March of Dimes! When you walk, you give hope to the babies born too soon or sick. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies, and it funds research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten our babies. We've been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2.8 billion!
Join the more than 7 million people who participate, donate and/or sponsor. There are plenty of opportunities for day-of-event exposure, activation, and education - not to mention opportunities to meet hundreds of others who are just like you!
The Greater Birmingham March for Babies 2013 is presented locally by BBVA Compass and hopes to raise $650,000 for Alabama's babies. We are expecting approximately 3,000 walkers of all ages. The walk starts at UAB Mini Park and extends for 2.5 miles around Five Points South and part of Highland Ave., then circles back around to UAB Mini Park. Food will be provided after the walk by Publix Super Markets, Inc. March for Babies is baby and kid friendly, so strollers are definitely welcomed. Well behaved dogs on a leash are also welcomed. We look forward to seeing you there!
