On Sunday, April 29 our community will be walking in March for Babies to give hope to the families of babies born too soon or sick -- more than 7,200 each year in Minnesota alone.
The money we raise will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies right here in Southeastern Minnesota.
Registration for March for Babies at Colvill Park, 515 Nymphara Lane is at Noon. The walk starts at 1:00 pm. See you there!
Christopher Maulucci is a happy, healthy one-year-old boy who came into the world too soon and too small. Born three months early, he weighed just one pound, 15 ounces. Like many premature babies, his lungs were underdeveloped and he was given surfactant therapy, a life-saving therapy funded by the March of Dimes.
Christopher spent 76 days in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU), a trying time for his parents Erin and Brad Maulucci. “There have been many challenges through the last 16 months, but they have made us a much stronger family,” said Erin.
The Maulucci family is serving as the Ambassador Family in Red Wing this year.
“I feel so honored,” shared Erin, “The March of Dimes helped Christopher be where he is today- happy and healthy. I can’t wait to share our story and inspire people to give to the March of Dimes.”
