Kenneth A. May, former CEO of FedEx Kinko’s, has been re-elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes, it was announced today.

“Ken May is a strong and effective volunteer leader for our mission, especially our Prematurity Campaign,” said Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, President of the March of Dimes. “We look forward to Ken’s continued leadership as we work towards our goal of giving every baby a healthy start in life.”

Mr. May’s daughter Alexa was born 12 weeks prematurely, weighing only 2 pounds and spent three months in a newborn intensive care unit. Mr. May and his wife, Tosha May, credit March of Dimes-funded research with helping their daughter survive. A long-time volunteer for the Foundation, he was first elected to the national board in 2004 and chaired the annual March for Babies fund raiser for the North Texas March of Dimes in Dallas in 2006.

Mr. May is a graduate of the University of Memphis and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he resides in Dallas with his wife and daughter.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide and its premier event, March for Babies®, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
