Join us Saturday, April 14 when our community will be walking in March for Babies to give hope to the families of babies born too soon or sick -- more than 1,400 each year in South Dakota alone.
Participants can enjoy food, music, fun with co-workers, family and friends, along with a new silent auction. The items for the silent auction include gift baskets and merchandise donated by local Mitchell businesses, along with tickets to Wild Water West, Washington Pavilion Kirby Science Museum, Sioux Falls Storm and Skyforce. During the event, participants’ children can enjoy a bouncy house donated by Palace Inflatables along with other fun activities that include prizes. The money we raise will support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies right here in Central South Dakota. It funds research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten our babies, like premature birth. Affecting more than half a million babies in our country each year, premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the rate of premature birth continues to rise.
Registration for the Mitchell March for Babies is at The Corn Palace at 9:00 am. The walk starts at 10:00 am. See you there!
