The Washington Chapter March of Dimes in partnership with The Center for Multicultural Health, Parent Trust for Washington Children, Penny Simkin, The Equal Start Community Coalition and Public Health- Seattle & King County are pleased to host Beyond Birth Outcomes: How Stress & Racism Impact the Generations. The state wide conference will feature prominent speakers including James W. Join us for a day of inspired learning and facilitated discussion on disparities in birth outcomes here in Washington State.

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON JANUARY 12, 2014.

    Continuing Education

The Beyond Birth Outcomes partnership has made every effort to obtain CEUs from associations representing the professionals who will be attending the conference.  Most CEU applications are still pending.  All attendees will have the opportunity to receive a Certificate of Completion showing 6.33 instructional hours.

At this time, we anticipate being able to offer CEUs from the following:

    • NASW Washington State Chapter:   Continuing Education Credits approved for Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Counselors and Licensed Mental Health Counselors
    • International Childbirth Education Association:  CEUs for Lamaze and ICEA childbirth educators, DONA doulas and Certified Professional Midwives
    • Physicians may claim category two credits and should retain the agenda and certificate of completion for their records

We are looking into CEU’s for International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners American College of Nurse Midwives.
